In issue 23 of the Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazine, Neil Young, the Canadian rock musician, gives us an insight into his vision of the music industry. He has founded his own music player (named Pono), where he provides music in the highest resolution only.
What does Neil Young say about it?
When asked how important the quality of the sound is for him, he replies:
„You have to hear it in its full quality, so that a song has an effect. […] The power of the sound can not be exaggerated. There are investigations that show that music can change the human genes – but not with an mp3 file.“
